Dr. Allan Gold was one of the first physicians in Arkansas to apply modern surgical techniques to the foot. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gold established Arkansas Foot & Ankle Clinic in 1966 after completing a fellowship in foot surgery in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Arkansas Podiatric Medical Association. He is a director of the Student Preceptorship Program and Adjunct Clinical Professor at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Gold is past president of the Arkansas Podiatric Medical Association and has served as a physician member of the State Board of Health. Under Dr. Gold’s leadership, Arkansas Foot & Ankle Clinic has become the premier facility for care of all foot and ankle conditions in central Arkansas.
